Isla, very much out of the blue, and with no hint of an attempt before, got up on her all fours and moved forward as if she was programmed with the crawling chip before birth..WOWIE is all I can say! If it indicated intelligence then she is a genius, but it just means she met this important milestone super duper early.

I am not a perfect parent, but I am a PRAYING parent
Gioia asked to go back to Sunday school Saturday night, my excuse of wanting to lie in with my children and spending Sunday morning in my PJ’s all of a sudden seemed silly and actually rather selfish. Sunday morning we rose and got dressed and I even felt a child like excitement to take my Isla to the family section of Hatfield and there I held her in my arms and sang my heart out during praise and worship. Gioia was so thrilled to walk through the doors of C4G it made me commit to the Lord that by hook or crook I will be taking my children to Sunday school so Jesus can work in their hearts, like my mom did for me (You were so faithful with this mom, a quality I admire in you so much more now that I have kidlinks). I started this gray Monday morning off in my room with a quiet time again, I put on Gioia’s favourite praise and worship CD and closed my eyes waiting to feel and asking for the presence of the Holy Spirit in my heart, my room and my house. I feel a need to write the following to my friends, I want to make my home a place where any of you can come and together we PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN. I have this little green book that I got as a gift before Gioia was born and I read it so much during my pregnancy with her I now I want to read it again daily and speak the prayers over my children’s lives because If you are not covering your children in prayer every day, you are leaving their lives to chance, and we cannot have that. We have to as mommy’s tick so many boxes daily in order for our little girls or boys to have a full happy childhood but thee most important box is prayer, and not just quick shots up to heaven like I do all day beginning with Please Lord...we need to cover other aspects to. If anybody at anytime wants to commune with me in my home or just wants a word for their children please contact me, I feel this is my responsibility, I feel it deep and I feel it urgent. I want to learn how to cover every aspect of my girlies lives in prayer and I want to gather together as moms, we have a common goal and where two or three are gathered....AMEN
TODAY: Lord I bring Gioia and Isla before You and ask that You would help them grow into a deep understanding of who You are. Open their beautiful hearts and bring them to a full knowledge of the truth about You. I pray that they will have faith and that they will call you Saviour like Johan and I do and that they will experience the power of being filled by the Holy Spirit. Help my girls to fully believe that Jesus laid down His Life for them and so that they might have life, eternal and abundantly.

Daddy's Valentines
The deck where I am resting my pins has a lovely view over our back garden and our pool. Wendell, the creepy crawley, is having a bad day though, or he might be trying to have it out with me, either way he is getting stuck in every corner of our rectangular watering hole and I'm getting ready to fire his gyrating ass. Its February 14th, and once more my man is not home. This year he is out at sea. I console myself with the fact that we are on the same planet though. Just because Johan is not home to pamper all his girls I thought to make the day special for them and say it all comes from Dadda. So, Dadda posted a new outfit for both chickaroos and left it on the front door for Gioia to find at the crack of dawn. We also baked a boat load of pink heart shaped cakes for school and this afternoon Lena and Serine are coming over for a pink and red food fest on the deck that overlooks Wendell, and his bad attitude.
Happy Red Heart Day to the DADDA of the two sweetest cherry's on the planet...the planet that we all live on together, even if we are oceans apart.

Fun Finds!
The ice cream actually comes in the coconut 'shell' and so do the rest...in various fruit! Such a fun idea and just a lovely Sunday afternoon treat for all.

Serinie pie turned 3
Our great friendie turned 3, the last of Gioia's friends to do so. Isla, 4 months old, managed to wriggle her way out of her pram, at the party, and fell to the ground and hit her perfect little pip against the wall. She has a bruise to show for her efforts, a big purple golf ball on her temple. Telling my husband was the hardest part.

Frame re-vamp
I got this super quaint 'family tree' from good old Mr Price, but I thought that perhaps the stickers on the frame were a bit old world or Russian-ish, so I had vinyl made to cover the USSR theme and make it more Poddy's flavour.
Ready to P.A.R.T.Y
It takes between two and three hours to get my girlies and myself ready for a birthday party. Most Saturdays I want to get up late, and attend the birthday bash in my 'leisure wear' but I fight the urge to tie up my hair into a pony and slip on my fluffy bunny slippers and board my mommy vehicle, kidlinks in my arms and gift under my chin. It really is worth getting them into their party wear though, judge for yourself.
Refreshed blog Title and http Address
...since this blog is about two little girls I thought it necessary to add Isla to my winning formula...Bean is Gioia's nickname and Pod is Isla's, hence the Beaniepod combination, much like 'Tomcat'and 'Bennifer'!
